Adventure Tips

Hydrate before and during your ride

Pisgah’s humid climate means you should carry at least 2 liters of water to stay energized on technical trails.

Check your brake pads

The steep descents and granite sections demand reliable brakes; ensure pads are in good shape before hitting Pisgah’s trails.

Wear a full-face helmet for technical sections

Some parts of the trails have high-speed descents and rocky terrain—extra head protection is highly recommended.

Start with a warm-up on easier trails

Pisgah’s trails vary in difficulty, so spend 15-20 minutes warming up on gentler terrain to prevent injury.
